Who it is for:
If you are a new youth minister, (or you just hired one!) check out this course as you start your first few years of ministry. We uncover together the “why’s” and the “how-to’s” of gospel-centered youth ministry. Even if you don’t have a mentor or any other training program, you can use this course to start well and learn from experienced youth ministers what works well for them, as they disciple students to life-long faith in Jesus Christ.

How it will help:
For a youth minister who would feel lost in their first year of youth ministry on where to even get started. Oftentimes youth ministers receive very little training, are thrown the keys and told “you understand kids” here you go.
Who it is for:
Head pastors or elders who are looking to better understand the purpose and vision for youth ministry. Giving them guidance on how to work with their youth minister. Also for church search committees who are responsible for making the youth ministry hire.
Video classes found in this course:
How it will help:
Bridging the gap between the youth minister and head pastor/elder helping them work together to be on the same page for the vision of the youth ministry. Also helps the church search committee / head pastor know what to look for when hiring a youth minister.
Who it is for:
Youth ministers to use to train their youth leader volunteer (this could be a youth group volunteer, Sunday school volunteer, etc). These training videos are meant to equip and resource the church. So a youth leader volunteer would not be buying for themselves, but the youth minister would be interested in this course because it would help them train their volunteers (a task that typically falls on the youth minister to do themselves).

How it will help:
It takes a lot of time for a youth minister to yearly train their volunteers. Especially since volunteers can fluctuate from year to year. Instead of having to take a whole day or afternoon to host an in person training (that can be difficult to get volunteers to show up to) youth pastors could provide this course for leaders to complete on their own time.
Who it is for:
Youth ministers to use to train their bible study volunteers. It also takes a lot of time to train your Bible study leaders on how to effectively lead a bible study. This course, coupled with our curriculum, is an excellent resource to put in the hands of bible study volunteers to give them the ability to teach a gospel-centered lesson.

The course also helps equip youth ministers in their bible teaching to students.
With our standard and premium packages, you'll receive access to this helpful tool connecting you with others who are discipling teenagers to a lifelong faith in Jesus Christ. This community forum is a space to ask questions, share ideas, and provide feedback.
Learn moreWhen teaching a Bible passage it can be helpful to use examples from culture (including songs, movies, quotes, poems, narratives, graphics, etc.). But as we all know, it’s not always easy to think of or find an illustration that helps convey what we want to communicate. Our teaching illustrations bank serves youth ministers and volunteers as you prepare your lessons. Illustrations are tagged by topic and/or theological concept — from common teen issues like anxiety, heartbreak, and the pressure to succeed, to foundational theology like the attributes of God, Jesus’s divinity, and grace.
